Kurupt Responds To Eminem Mentioning Him On “‘Till I Collapse” [Video]

Eminem’s “‘Till I Collapse” track with the late Nate Dogg left him in good standing with many rappers after he listed all of his favorites on the record. “I got a list, here’s the order of my list that it’s in / It goes Reggie, Jay-Z, 2Pac and Biggie / Andre from OutKast, Jada, Kurupt, Nas and then me,” he rapped. DJ Vlad spoke to Kurupt about it recently, who told him “even before he gave me that shout I already loved his music.” Kurupt also stated he’s just glad someone is giving him the recognition and credit he rightfully deserves. When he first heard “‘Till I Collapse,” the first thing Kurupt said to the people around him was “I told you so!” “But at the same time, Em is so humble,” he added. “That’s why you gotta love him, man. ‘Cause you know, he doesn’t look for a fight – a fight always seems to find him. And the thing is he’s gonna always be ready. He’s a murderer of emcees.” Hear what else Kurupt had to say about ‘Em’s track above.

Kurupt: “B.I.G. & N.W.A. Biopics Are Equally Great” [Video]

Kurupt spoke to VladTV about his thoughts on the NWA biopic Straight Outta Compton, which the West Coast emcee said was the first movie to accurately tell the story about hip-hop since Krush Groove. He also shared his favorite part during the NWA film, which was when Ice Cube put out his diss track “No Vaseline” after leaving Ruthless Records. During the conversation Kurupt was asked about his thoughts on the B.I.G. biopic Notorious and how it compared to the NWA movie, and Kurupt felt that both were great in their own right. The Biggie movie has been panned by some hip-hop fans and critics, but Kurupt said that the message in the movie was believable and he felt that the film told a great story. Check out more of what Kurupt had to say about both films in the above clip.
