Craig G Reminisces On Hip Hop In The 1980s [Video]

Craig G reminisces about the mid-80s when he was 12 years old, recording with Marley Marl. He distinctly remembers how people were excited simply to have made records, regardless of any success. In 1989, he was signed to Atlantic Records and saw the political motives in the music industry at an early stage. His latest album in 2016 is called I Rap And Go Home, produced by Big Earth of VaporWorldz. Purchase “I Rap And Go Home“, with features from Kool Keith, Buckshot, Ras Kass, Rockness, Jarobi (A Tribe Called Quest), and Canibus.

Both pioneers agree it’s an amazing thing to see how the game grows. How many pioneers could freestyle? Probably every single one of them, so it was no surprise when Tracy brought up the fact a lot of these dudes are afraid to go off top. As something so essential to what hip hop is, how
