Kendrick Lamar – Euphoria (Drake Diss) [Audio]

The anticipation ends as Kendrick Lamar delivers his response to Drake with the eagerly awaited track, “Euphoria”.

Cardo’s production sets the stage as the Compton rapper puts the subliminals to rest, delivering a direct diss filled with slick and blistering bars aimed at his Toronto nemesis.

Following his verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That”, where he stated “we are not cool with each other”, Drake responded to Lamar with two tracks: “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made“. However, the latter was pulled after the estate of Tupac Shakur sent a cease and desist letter, threatening to sue Drake for the “nonconsensual use of Shakur’s likeness” due to the artificial intelligence-generated version of Shakur’s voice used in the song.

Drake’s intention was to provoke a response from Kendrick Lamar, and he certainly received one with “Euphoria”.

The track begins with a sample of Teddy Pendergrass’ “You’re My Latest, My Greatest Inspiration”, and then Kendrick proceeds to spend the next five minutes — over two different beats — vehemently addressing Drake. He critiques Drake’s use of AI, challenges him to refrain from speaking on his family, points out his hypocrisy, mentions YNW Melly, sides with Pharrell in Drake’s feud with Pusha T, and makes it clear that he really doesn’t like him.
