West coast artist TeeFLii spoke with VladTV about his singing abilities, working with DJ Mustard, and the success of his single “This D***.” TeeFLii revealed that while he loved to sing, a friend suggested that he should focus on rapping. “I wanted to always sing,” he said. “He didn’t want me to sing he said ‘I want you to have bars, but I was like ‘I can have bars and sing.” His hit, “This D****” produced by DJ Mustard, has the best of both worlds, with the artist singing the catchy hook. The rapper also talked about the first time he heard his raunchy song on the radio and his relationship with the popular producer.

TeeFlii spoke about the topic of homosexuality in this clip from his exclusive interview with VladTV. He reflected on his own Christian beliefs and how homosexuality is perceived and judged by others. TeeFLii doesn’t personally believe that God hates people simply because they are attracted to a person of the same sex. He also doesn’t have an issue with Macklemore’s “Same Love” song because he believes that it is a song that could help gay people feel more welcome. TeeFLii would, however, have a bit of an issue with his daughter growing up to be a lesbian. When asked how he would feel if his daughter ever told him that she is gay, he revealed it wouldn’t be a good day. “I’ll be hurt, I’ll be disappointed,” he said. However, he would still love his daughter regardless if that is how she chooses to live her life.

He recalled the numerous offers he was given to sign with multiple record labels and how he came to form a bond with Sha Money. TeeFLii explained why he turned down other labels and how Sha introduced him to L.A. Reid after being very impressed with his music. Signing with Epic Records has turned out to be very beneficial since he is now working on an album which should be released this summer.
