Los Angeles musician TeeFLii discusses working with some of the biggest names in the game for his debut album and also recounts his experience getting lit with Snoop. The 27-year-old Epic Records artist names some of the heavy hitters on his album, including Snoop Dogg, DJ Quik, E-40, Chris Brown and more. He also touches on what sets his sound apart from the competition, explaining that he uses real instruments on his tracks instead of synths. TeeFlii On Growing Up In South Central LA [Video]

Epic Records artist TeeFlii sat down and chopped it up with VladTV and spoke briefly about his upbringing in South Central LA. TeeFlii reveals that he raised in South Central and exposed to neighborhood gangs at an early age, and while he may have had a few run-ins with gang life, he doesn’t feel the need to discuss them in detail. He also spoke of being raised by parents who weren’t around as often as he’d like, and spending most of his time with his Grandfather until he passed away. At this point he lived with his father for a while, but at that point he had already made up his mind about his own future. The “24 Hours” rapper also briefly touched on his mother being on drugs, and says that while it was struggle for their family, he’s very proud that she’s now clean.
