Zaytoven Details Future’s Transition Into Using Auto-Tune [Video]

Zaytoven has been working with Future before the Atlanta rapper blew up, and the famed producer told VladTV that the “F**k Up Some Commas” emcee wasn’t always using Auto-Tune. He explained that when they first started working together Future didn’t use the vocal tool, but Zaytoven admitted that he went Auto-Tune crazy after it became popular. During the sit-down the Atlanta-based producer said that he’s not surprised about Future’s success and he added that “there are very few artists that can come along and make their stamp in Atlanta.” He added that after Gucci Mane’s hit his peak in Atlanta, Future stepped in and took over for the city, signifying to Zaytoven that he was a solid fixture in Hip-Hop. Check out more of what he had to say in the above clip.

Zaytoven Says The “Migos Flow” Changed Rap Forever [Video]

Xavier Dotson, aka Zaytoven, recently chopped it up with VladTV and let us in on his relationship with the Migos and how their music style “changed rap forever.” “The Three 6 songs that I heard, they wasn’t really using that style,” says Zaytoven on Migos’ constant comparison to the legendary crew. “So when Migos was doing it, to me, it was just something brand new.” Zaytoven tells us that Gucci’s “So Icey” & Usher’s “Papers” are two of his biggest hits to this day, but Migos’ “Versace” became his most popular beat by far. After watching Migos’ video for their track “Bando,” Zaytoven felt he had to meet the guys, which he did at a OJ da Juiceman show some years ago. That night they were introduced to one another after Quavo stepped on his shoes, and the next day they were in the studio with a “boatload of beats” from the southern producer. Zaytoven also explains why Drake had him “smiling ear to ear,” as well as why the incarcerated Offset – who he feels brings “another element of the group” – was one of the reasons that he “fell in love” with them. Hear that plus more on Offset’s jail time above in this exclusive clip.
