Godfather Pt. III, Phil The Agony, Slaughter Rico & Lawrence Arnell – Bang Bang [Audio]

For the latest preview from their compilation LP, ‘Global Connection Vol. 2,’ the team at Raw Poetix Records enlisted a crew of monster emcees to join forces on “Bang Bang.” The track features hard-hitting rhymes from Godfather Pt. III, Phil Tha Agony, and Slaughter Rico, while the multi-talented Lawrence Arnell provides the haunting hook. “Bang Bang” is anchored by the raw and piano-laced instrumental from Balti. His menacing production sets the tone for the gangster rap-minded, pass-the-mic banger that kicks off with Godfather Pt. III, the Queensbridge-hailing member of Infamous Mobb who bullies his enemies with SCUD missiles. The mic then heads to the left coast for Phil Tha Agony, of Strong Arm Steady, and his promise that his “actions speak louder than wordplay.” Philadelphia rapper Slaughter Rico rounds out the verses with some crazy internal rhymes, which he deftly weaves into his tale of making something out of nothing. Of course, “Bang Bang” wouldn’t quite resonate as strongly as it does without fellow Philly native, Lawrence Arnell’s threats-laced croon on the chorus. “Bang Bang” is now available for stream and can be purchased for download through all major digital retailers, while ‘Global Connection Vol. 2.’ can now be purchased on CD via UGHH and HHV.DE.

Mr. Green & Slaughter Rico – East Coast (Live From The Streets) [Video]

Here’s the latest episode of Live from the Streets featuring Slaughter Rico and the East Coast Gas Station. And here’s what Mr. Green had to say: “This episode was recorded entirely at the East Coast Gas Station in North Philadelphia. First we met up with Philly legend Slaughter Rico (look up “5 Dolla Nigga”) and started grabbing sounds from the car. We got stuff from the trunk, the glove box, the keys, the horn, the ignition beep and a couple random other things from around the station. Then I loaded the sounds in the beat machine and chopped them up. Finally, Slaughter Rico dropped a crazy verse over the beat.” Mr. Green and crew inviting people to make their own beats from the car sounds. Click here to download the sounds from this episode.
