Has-Lo & CASTLE – Good Feelings [Video]

The end of summer has come, Has-Lo & Castle are ready to remind you of the glory days that the sun is now setting upon. “Good Feelings (U Must Relax),” produced by Has-Lo, features Castle vocally lampin’ – questioning the most important things in life, like is it still called morning wood if you wake up after noon? It’s all Hawaiian shirts, orange sorbet push-up pops, backyard pools, switchblade combs, and easy going. Re-a-lax.

Has-Lo & CASTLE – Live Like You’re Dead [Album Stream]

Has-Lo and Castle link up again, trading all new rhymes and production on the album “Live Like You’re Dead”. Born and bastardized from a grim quote, the album is the Philly and North Carolina MCs letting go of fear in its many forms, and laughing in the face of Death. The theme is live energy. Whether from uncouth trade-offs on the Arcka produced “D.L.S.”, insulting and lusting after Instagram thirst traps on “Yoga Pants”, to wildin’ out over trunk rattling bass in the album’s closer “Look Out!”, crafted by Has-Lo himself. This album is creativity unfiltered. It’s reaching for the nearest vice, and scheming on a hoodrat in yoga pants. It’s raw loops and disrespectful bass. Underpaid work and visions of living rich. It’s smiling when reminiscing on the past, and laughing because it feels good. Live Like You're Dead by Has-Lo & Castle

Has-Lo & CASTLE – D.L.S. [Stream x Download]

This is taken from the upcoming, all-new Has-Lo & CASTLE full length collabo album “Live Like You’re Dead” dropping July 29th. “D.L.S. is the shit starter on the album. If the mission isn’t clear by the time you reach this track, it’s crystal afterwards.” – Has-Lo “D.L.S. is produced by our man Arcka. Has and I went crazy when we heard the beat. It was just a matter of rolling with the energy. This song is what this album is all about.” – CASTLE The new album is creativity unfiltered. It’s reaching for the nearest vice, raw loops and disrespectful bass. It’s smiling when reminiscing on the past, and laughing because it feels good. D.L.S. by Has-Lo & Castle

CASTLE – Return Of The Gasface (The Has-Lo Passages) [Album Stream]

Castle’s Return of the Gasface (The Has-Lo Passages) enters the stage today on Mello Music Group. The record is a frame by frame rewrite of the graphic debut from Castle, Gasface. Unsatisfied with the typical approach to remix projects, MMG vet Has-Lo built the album from the ground up – having Castle re-spit verses, adding verses, ad-libs, a guest verse from Has, and even pair of new tracks. The result is an entirely new wave thematically and cinematically. Conceptually the project is somewhere between Marvel’s “Team Up” and “What If” storylines. The synergy between Has-Lo and Castle is that of long-time collaborators offering the best of back and forths. Lyrically Castle manages to combine the menace of the streets with the reality of home life – an intimate three-dimensional portrait of a man witnessing life unfold through a Hip-hop filter. Castle describes it well: “Pop rappers chastising, claim that I don’t stack enough. Art rappers chastising, claim that I don’t tap enough.” Add to it, Has-Lo’s sonic backdrops that seem to help Castle’s lyrical displays rise to the forefront, providing well-timed accents that drive it all home.
