Toronto duo Chefs Plate is back with a new remix, this time a bass-heavy rework of Justin Bieber’s PYD featuring R Kelly. “A fun mashup with some soulful bass,” said Junia-T. The track, as well as new mixes, will be chopped up live tomorrow at MeNu; an interactive series fusing live production into a party atmosphere, exploring an eclectic collection of reworked tracks and fresh cuts. Taking place in the basement of Tattoo, the night will feature music by producers Elaquent, Ratchet&Class, and Chefs Plate (LordQuest & Junia-T).

Toronto-based producers LordQuest and Junia-T have teamed up on the decks to form Chef’s Plate, an experimental project that has the hip-hop artists venturing into the realm of future bass. Their remix to Que’s “OG Bobby Johnson” is available now for free download, and is the first of many that will be released throughout the summer. “Chef’s Plate is just a free expression of sounds and colors mixed into one,” said LordQuest. “Some soulful ignorance for the summer,” said Junia-T.
