Consequence feat. Caiden The Crownholder – Who Shot Jamal? [Video]

Consequence has partnered with Revolt TV to release one of his most compelling records to date, titled “Who Shot Jamal?”.

In this powerful song, he collaborates with his 11-year-old son, Caiden The Crownholder.

The track serves as a heartfelt conversation between the father and son, discussing the tragic murder of a person named “Jamal”. The song sheds light on the harsh reality in America, where there exists a “Jamal” figure in every Black community who has fallen victim to senseless gun violence. Sadly, these crimes often go unsolved.

In the accompanying music video, directed by Consequence and Zack Wanerman, the impact of “Jamal’s” death is portrayed, depicting the profound effect it has had on his family, friends, and even his infant daughter. The video touches upon the various scenarios that young black men like “Jamal” face, which could have ultimately led to his premature death.
