In the final part of CRWN with Meek Mill and Elliott Wilson, the Philly rapper holds nothing back as he talks about why he doesn’t listen to Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole.
“Let me get this clear. J. Cole is dope as shit, he one of the hottest rappers doing it right now. Kendrick Lamar, I think he the best lyricist doing it right now in the rap game, but I don’t listen to that type of music,” said Meek. “I used to listen to Kendrick shit. This time he came with some shit…it just wasn’t in my lane.”
“If Nicki do a pop song, nine times out of ten I ain’t never gonna listen to it in my life,” he continued. Meek also talks about playing his new album for Kanye, his strengths and weaknesses, and why he’s all about that bike life.
