Over the weekend, Ear Drummer Records CEO Mike Will Made It held a private listening session for his project “Ransom” and HHS1987 was on the scene to catch up with Mike Will Made It to discuss his new project and much more. Mike Will Made It spoke with us about his new project “Ransom” and just why he felt like it was time to drop this project. Returning to what he felt are his roots, Mike Will Made It wanted to give fans a project with a “underground” feel to it. Working with a few artist who the mainstream world may not yet be aware of, Mike Will Made It explained coming from the underground and wanting to connect with the new faces in the underground game and give the clubs a new sound. After discussing his project “Ransom”, we also spoke to Mike Will Made It about his label Ear Drummer Records and his decision to sign Two 9 and Rae Sremmurd. Mike Will Made It explained that he saw something in those to groups that he hadn’t seen elsewhere. He discussed how both Two 9 and Rae Srummurd are more than hip-hop artist, their modern day rockstar.
