Sisqo On If He Lives Off Success Of “Thong Song” [Video]

Sisqo sat down with VladTV and shared that while he’s been absent as a solo artist for 13 years, constant touring with his group, R&B staple Dru Hill, has prepared him for his solo shows and performances, saying that as a group they travel the world constantly and still have sold-out shows lined up throughout the rest of 2014. When it comes to his skills as a vocalist, Sisqo feels like he may be slept on because his most popular songs, both as a solo artist and within Dru Hill, were either up-tempo or used a lot of the “rap-singing” style that became popular in the mid-late ’90s by groups such as Dru Hill, Destiny’s Child and Next. However, his #1 single “Incomplete” off of his first solo album was a powerful ballad that sticks closer to his background of soulful singing.

DeJ Loaf: “I Don’t Want ‘Try Me’ To Promote Violence” [Video]

Dej Loaf sat down for an exclusive interview with Jenny Boom Boom for VladTV, and the Detroit rapper says that despite her quiet demeanor, she really turns up on stage. She also adds that she never expected the reaction from her “Try Me” record that it received. When it comes to the track, Dej says that her intentions weren’t to promote violence with the song, and only used guns in the “Try Me” video to add truth to what really goes on in the streets. Speaking more about the video, Dej says that she wanted to feature different parts of where she grew up in Detroit to “keep things natural.” Check out more of what she had to say in the above clip.

Freeway says he’s not down with any of the more feminine clothing seen on some rappers, and The Jacka believes it’s somehow related to Satanic practices. The two also share their thoughts on the Philly movement in the game, including Meek Mill, who Freeway says he’s looking forward to seeing back home.
