Prodigy Talks Prison w/ Good*Fella Media [Audio]

“H.N.I.C. 3” is in stores and online now.

Prodigy shared his biggest fears while being in prison and what exactly changed his mind.

[0:45]: “Sitting in a jail cell and getting your family, your career, your comfort zone snatched from you and now you sitting in a cell until they tell you you can go home will change your mind about certain things. … It changed my mind because I like being on private plans, tour buses, doing shows, six star hotels, free food, free weed, free liquor, pussy everywhere, you know what i’m saying? I like that lifestyle.”

Explains the difference between a Protective Custody inmate and a High Risk inmate and why his celebrity status and the visibility of his case did not allow him to be in population with the other inmates.

[3:05]: “The situation I was in I wasn’t in population with everybody. I was in a special housing unit because of my celebrity status and the visibility of my case made me a high profile/high risk inmate. … now, it’s different from what people call P.C. – P.C. is a building that they got where if you are scared of the other inmates and you feel like your life is in danger … they will put you in Protective Custody to protect you. That’s not the building that I was in.”

How his time spent in prison helped him get his health together.

[4:39]: “I had to be careful because of my sickle cell … because they don’t understand that type of shit. The only thing they understand in jail is if your bleeding then they’ll take you to the hospital, but if they don’t see no blood and your conscious they will leave you there. … I had to really take care of my health make sure I didn’t get sick in that m*thafucka.”

The backlash he received for exposing snitches in his book.

[06:38]: “It would be one thing if I wrote a book and something in my book created a case for somebody … and now somebody is getting arrested for something that happen a long time ago that the cops never knew about. … na, see in my book, I talk about situations and the reason why people are mad is because they don’t like the fact of what they did. I expose snitches in my book and I got backlash for that. — How you get backlash for exposing a snitch? I never heard of that in my life!”
