East coast emcee vets Edo. G and Shabaam Sahdeeq release a video for their “Play To Win” single. Directed by Eye Grustle the video captures the duo in their hometowns of Boston and Brooklyn (respectively). For fans of 90’s hip-hop, this black & white no-nonsense, beats & rhymes style video hits the spot! Also making appearances is Torae who provides a guest verse and DJ Eclipse who adds some turntable work on the hook. “Play To Win” is taken from the recently released Recognize Your Power EP pairing Edo and Shabaam. Released via Loyalty Digital Corp and is produced entirely by emcee/producer Fokis (MC Eiht, Grandmaster Caz, N.O.R.E, Sadat X, Canibus). Besides Torae and DJ Eclipse, other guests on the release include Ras Kass, Oh No, Planet Asia and Craig G.

Edo. G and Shabaam Sahdeeq let loose a fresh new track called “Play To Win”, Produced by Fokis. The track features a verse from Torae and cuts by DJ Eclipse making this an east coast banger of the highest caliber. With this premiere is the announcement of an EP pairing the Boston hip-hop legend and Rawkus alum with production entirely handled by Lower East Side based emcee/producer Fokis (MC Eiht, Planet Asia, N.O.R.E, Sadat X, Canibus). The Recognize Your Power EP will drop on 10/14 via Loyalty Digital Corp (pre-order link below). Shabaam Sahdeeq – Dig A Grave (Lord Digga Diss) [Video]

For reasons unknown, Lord Digga — 1⁄5 of Masta Ace Incorporated — decided to take a few pop shots at Shabaam Sahdeeq (who was out on tour in Europe) in a recent video interview (I still haven’t been able to find said video as of this writing). As a veteran of the rap game for nearly two decades, there was no way that the “Keeper of the Lost Art” was going to bite his tongue and allow his reputation to be tarnished. The battle-tested emcee connected with DJ Duke to clap back at Digga on “Dig a Grave,” with vicious bar after scathing bar. Let’s just hope this stays on wax. via
