Big Gipp Explains Why Outkast Is More Influential Than Run DMC [Video]

Last year showcased a series of anniversaries and celebrations of Hip Hop's veteran artists including southern greats Outkast. In an interview with DJ Smallz, Big Gipp of Goodie Mob talked about Andre 3000 and Big Boi's lasting legacy and why they're the better than other Hip Hop greats like Run DMC. As the only hip hop group to go diamond, Gipp says Outkast helped define southern rap and inspired a number of artists who didn't identify with east or west coast rap. Gipp also included that the Outkast and the entire Dungeon Family still holds a strong relevance in Hip Hop today.
