Wale Brings Us Behind The Scenes @ WaleMania With Rey Mysterio, Jim Ross & More [Video]

WrestleMania may be the Super Bowl of wrestling, but WaleMania is what a good amount of the wrestling world was buzzing about heading up to the big event. The stars of pop culture and professional wrestling descended down on Silicon Valley this past weekend for WWE’s 31st installment of WrestleMania. Although the show took place Sunday, the week-long schedule events kicked off with MLW’s WaleMania. The event was the first public speaking appearance from legendary luchador, Rey Mysterio, since leaving the WWE and the death of Perro Aguayo Jr. The former WWE World Champion spoke at length about his time in the WWE as well as the unfortunate in-ring accident that claimed the life of his fallen friend. While Rey was still somber in tone, he was hardly alone when it came to lifting his spirits. In his roundtable discussion on the MLW podcast, he was joined by Court Bauer, Konnan of WCW and Lucha Underground fame, MSL and famed wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer. The special guests of the night included WWE Hall Of Famer’s Scott Hall and Jim Ross, Samoa Joe, MVP, Kevin Sullivan, Jeff Hardy, James Storm, Noelle Foley, Frank The Clown, Victoria, Sam Roberts, Peter Rosenberg and many many more. In this exclusive behind the scenes look at the event, Wale takes us through everything that went into producing the event as well as his plans to infiltrate the wrestling community in a major way for years to come. He also spoke at length about his latest album, The Album About Nothing, which is in stores now. Check out everything you may have missed in Santa Clara in the video above.
