Meanwhile in all that time he worked tirelessly toward a promotion and ascension in his music career. By battling ignorance and prejudice with a positive message, Wordsmith is able to celebrate the benefits of hard work and show the youth that any level of success is attainable to someone willing to work for it. “I Got a Promotion” celebrates the reaching of goals and should be a motivating force for the betterment of our nation. The cliche phrase “diamond in the rough” is thrown around at times, but their are literally millions of our youth that will never discover their God given gifts due to a lack of opportunity in life. This could correlate to a child’s living situation, lack of education or even a certain handicap. Our next great leader, doctor or scientist could be a person we would never expect to succeed, so before any of us cast doubts on the next man/women we need to give everyone a chance to shine and show their true colors!
