Add-2 & Nitty Scott, MC – Partners In Rhyme [Stream]

Ricky Dubs is back with the second installment off of his upcoming Ep, “Señor Dubs”. This time he enlists Chicago’s own Add-2 and Brooklyn’s Nitty Scott MC for “Partners In Rhyme”. The two Mc’s trade braggadocios bars over Dubs’ jazz laced composition that feels like something out of a 1940’s gangster flick. Add -2s’ composed ferocity mixed with Nittys’ serene confidence flawlessly accentuates Dubs’ laid back production. The “Señor Dubs” Ep has a tentative release date of, September 3, 2014.

Blu & Nottz feat. Nitty Scott, MC – Boyz II Men (Diamond D Remix) [Stream]

Often under appreciated but never forgotten, Diamond D is easily one of the best producers on the mic. Whether you mess with his work from D.I.T.C or still bump ‘Stunts, Blunts, & Hip Hop’ on the regular, D is just as ambitious today, even with his OG status. Going for a remix that’s reminiscent of The East Flatbush Project’s “Tried By 12,” his take on the Nitty Scott, MC featured “Boyz II Men” taken from Blu & Nottz’ 2013 released ‘Gods In The Spirit’ EP, truly bears the Diggin’ in the Crates Crew stamp of approval. Where the original version relied on triumphant horns, courtesy of Nottz, D ventures into a completely different direction, going for a minimalistic instrumental that still packs enough punch to cause a dizzy spell for any true head. Diamond D’s remix of “Boyz II Men” is featured on the ‘iTunes Deluxe Edition’ of Coalmine Records’ ten year anniversary compilation, ‘Unearthed’, as well as the CD and vinyl edition of ‘Gods In The Spirit,’ both of which are now available. Stay tuned for the complete full length of Blu & Nottz’ collaborative efforts, with their forthcoming anthology, ‘Gods In The Spirit, Titans In The Flesh.’

Last week, we tagged along with Nitty Scott, MC for a tour through the luscious oasis in Prospect Park. While cruising the grounds, the MC broke down her new mind state, “The Art of Chill” and how mediation has changed her life for the better. “Me, finding my chill actually came from being the opposite of chill, so I don’t want people to think I’m this zenned out hippie. It took work to get to this place of tranquility,” Nitty told VIBE. “The Art Of Chill” album is set to be released this Friday, May 23rd and can be pre-ordered on iTunes now.
