Daz Dillinger Details Working On “The Chronic” w/ Dr. Dre [Video]

Former Death Row Records signee, Daz Dillinger, has stories for days when it comes to the peak of his career. In this exclusive clip, the rapper/producer takes us back to “The Chronic” days, and how he got a chance to be a part of one of the biggest hip-hop albums of all time. “I was just happy to be in the vicinity as a young entrepreneur,” Daz remembers of his early days working with Dr. Dre. The Long Beach native was only 15 when he began cutting tracks and penning lyrics for the legendary collective, which he says was “the best time” of his life. “I was just listening like, ‘damn, this s*** sound good,’” he tells us. “The Chronic” came out nearly two years later, when Dillinger – formerly known as Dat N**** Daz – was just 17 years old. Watch as Daz recounts the first time he met the late, great Eazy-E at an awards show, working with Warren G, and the moment he realized just how much of a classic “The Chronic” would ultimately become in another West Coast exclusive.
