Boaz sat down for an exclusive interview with VladTV, where he shared crazy tour stories about Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller. He starts out with a funny tale about fellow Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa being challenged to a “weed battle” by one of Mac’s close friends. The “I Won’t Stop” rapper says that Wiz shut all the talk down after walking out of his bus with huge bags of herb, which cemented his place as the “Weed God” while on tour. The next story Boaz tells is about Mac Miller being so passionate about pleasing fans that he broke his hand after punching a speaker when the sound went out. The Pittsburgh rapper then touches on Mac leaving Rostrum, revealing that he believes it wasn’t a bad situation, and that Mac did what was best for his career.

Rostrum Records’ Boaz turned quite a few heads with his latest project, Real Name, No Gimmicks Vol. 1. Featuring five stellar tracks, and guest appearances from Scarface, Punch, Crooked I, Sean Price and Chevy Woods, the EP wowed us, so we had to catch up with Boaz for an interview. Speaking with our very own Jen DeLeon, Boaz discusses the parallels he sees between himself and Obie Trice, how crazy it was to meet the OG Scarface, and his next album, a “classic” in his eyes. Speaking on that yet-untitled project, the MC promised a feature from The LOX and described the whole project as “in your face, good hip-hop music. Everybody can find something to listen to, it’s a collage of good stuff.”
