Celebrating the 30th anniversary of “Illmatic”, Nas and DJ Premier have just revealed their plans to drop a joint album later this year. The duo collaborated three times on the classic LP, contributing to tracks such as “N.Y. State Of Mind”, “Memory Lane” and “Represent” which are standout songs on the LP. Nas and Premo continued their successful partnership with tracks like “I Gave You Power”, “2nd Childhood”, “Nas Is Like”, and others.
With their long-awaited collaborative project set to release later in the year, the rapper/producer pair are starting the excitement with their fresh single, “Define My Name”.
