May The Lord Watch: The Little Brother Story (Documentary) [Video]

LB have released their “May The Lord Watch: The Little Brother Story” documentary for the masses.

“May The Lord Watch” stands as the definitive narrative of Little Brother, the rap trio hailing from North Carolina, featuring Phonte, Big Pooh, and the former producer 9th Wonder. These underground legends played a pivotal role in bridging the musical gap between iconic groups like The Roots and Kendrick Lamar, A Tribe Called Quest and Cole, De La and Drake. The documentary chronicles the ascent, disbandment, and eventual reunion of this influential rap group from the 2000s. However, the heart of the film delves into the evolving relationship between Phonte and Big Pooh. Their journey begins at the Durham HBCU North Carolina Central University, undergoes strains during their shared coming-of-age in the music industry, and ultimately resolves with a lasting friendship as the two men reunite to create their 2019 album, “May The Lord Watch“.

Directed by Holland Randolph Gallagher, the footage can be seen below.
