Substantial is back in action with a self-produced new song titled “Reed Richards”.

Sub’s slick wordplay and effortless flow are displayed over a soulful, boom-bap instrumental. The song begins with an excerpt radio interview featuring Chuck D of Public Enemy, who mentions Substantial with the likes of Jadakiss and Buckshot, referring to them all as scientists. The title “Reed Richards” refers to Mr. Fantastic from Marvel Comics’ “Fantastic Four”. Richards is known as a scientist and the world’s smartest man in the comics. Press play and imagine Substantial as a variant of Richards, whose superpowers are rapping, making beats, and teaching.

“Reed Richards” will appear on Substantial’s forthcoming 5th solo album, “Adultish”, due for release in early 2023.
