Rhythm Roulette w/ Honorable C.N.O.T.E. [Video]

Just seconds into the new episode of Rhythm Roulette, Atlanta-bred producer Honorable C.N.O.T.E. makes it clear that he has the right energy going into the challenge. “I’m finna go to Good Records, pick three records out for you lil’ fuckers and flip ‘em man. Is y’all ready? Come on, let’s do it,” he tells the camera. After blindingly scooping selections from Eddie Kendricks, Patti Labelle, and Pino Presti, C.N.O.T.E. hits the studio and dives into the sounds he’s selected: mostly uptempo blues and soul records from before his time. None of that is a problem. When the first Pino Presti sample doesn’t immediately work out, the 2 Chainz and Migos producer is on to the next, doubling-down on the segment and using it as a launchpad for his next attempt. “That beat done, I don’t like it, but I’m finna make another beat using the sample I just sampled. I can do what I want,” he says. Soon C.N.O.T.E. has something he can work with: “Patti Labelle came through, man!”
