Molecules & Showbiz feat. Money Ray – Bad Guy [Video]

Following multiple heavy-hitting releases over the years, Bronx natives Molecules and Showbiz deliver the visuals for their debut single, “Bad Guy,” off their forthcoming collaborative effort, ‘A Bronx Tale.’ The six track EP is a celebration of the BX as its coveted birthplace of Hip-Hop culture, and the artists it’s given rise to. That includes Molecules and Showbiz, who’ve previously worked together as part of their respective crews, The Legion and D.I.T.C. And on “Bad Guy,” they’re displaying exactly why they have teamed up once again—these two just have a gift for delivering that raw Boom bap. Visually, “Bad Guy” portrays an afternoon spent posted up in the streets of NYC as Molecules and his guest, Money Ray, spit their wordplay-laden verses. Showbiz handles the menacing, sample-flipping production—just as he does on the entire EP—and once again proves that he’s one of the best at these kicks and snares. Check out the visuals, and head over to iTunes where “Bad Guy” is available for download as the first instant-grat track off ‘A Bronx Tale,’ which is also ready for pre-order through Amazon and Google Play, as well as Fat Beats, for those that would like to purchase this release on CD or vinyl. The EP which also boasts features from Dres (of Black Sheep) and The Legion, comes equipped with the instrumental passes of each track (in all formats), and officially drops on Friday, May 19th via Legion Records.

Tuki Carter – Flowers And Planes [Album Stream]

Taylor Gang’s Tuki Carter shares his debut album, “Flowers And Planes”. “The inspiration for the album is being heard as a visual artist that happens to make music,” Tuki told XXL. “I’m coming from an area of creating art and explaining it through music. The inspiration also comes from the unity we and Taylor Gang have amongst each other, and that we’re open to learn new things. Of course it’s about weed and women, and having fun during the process. So really, the inspiration comes from everything without boundaries.” Take a listen below.

Gensu Dean & Wise Intelligent – Amen [Audio x Download]

Gensu Dean and Wise Intelligent release the first single from their upcoming joint album, “Game of Death”, due out June 2nd. Rooted in Universal Science, the album takes dead aim at mediocre, dumbed down, manufactured rap while treating Music as the weapon it is. This is cultural warfare bridging the gap from Roxanne & Biz Markie to Jay Electronica & Erykah Badu. Bending time & space, Gensu & Wise take listeners through history with amazingly wide-eyed clarity. With statements as straight-forward as “Your shit aint Hiphop if it’s corporate” there is no missing the message of self-determination. This is the type of liberation that starts with your mind and is more about what you shed than what you add on. Somebody say Amen. Stream or download “Amen” below and pre-order the LP here.
