Armed with an effortless swagger, Black EL delivers his fittingly super-wavy new video for “EL EL Cool Che” that he says is “an ode to the Bad Boy videos of the ‘90s.” Think the grandiosity of the Notorious B.I.G.’s “Hypnotize” (sans high-speed chases in reverse) mixed with the grayscale cool of “Flava In Ya Ear.” Then, add in EL’s innately chill approach to the mic, and you’ve got these sharp new visuals from the New York-by-way-of-Boston artist. The video was directed by Max Relax, who shot everything you see here using GoPros and drones. That means cinematic aerial views mixed with actual footage from the air, documenting EL’s lil’ helicopter trip while his favorite girl cruises around in a sleek BMW i8. Of course, it’s all soundtracked by the refreshingly laid-back track itself, which was produced by frequent collaborators Durkin, SXMPLELIFE, and Victor Radz. The track first appeared back in August as part of his ongoing campaign of loosie releases, which also includes the more recent “Question.” Check out the visuals for “EL EL Cool Che,” and stay tuned for more details on his forthcoming LP, ‘Anywhere But Here,’ which is currently a work in progress, and due out next year.

For this accidental music video, we linked with Young Dolph. Dolph raised plenty of eyebrows with the title and artwork of his last project, Rich Crack Baby. It even got to a point where Pete Rock and Dolph were going back and forth on social media over his lyrics on “In My System” being played around children. But the reality of it is that Young Dolph only raps about his real life. Don’t judge a rapper by his project title. And don’t just assume that since a rapper has a video out for a song, there shouldn’t be another version of it. The initial video for “Trappa” is the typical rapper look with a strip club as the location. But it’s a little dark with fast edits so it’s not exactly the easiest video to follow. Problem solved with the new “accidental music video” we shot with him recently. One of our in house artists added some tight animations to bring his lyrics to life and make the video pop.
