Read moreArmed with bully raps, huge production, and a long list of quotables, Planet Asia and DJ Concept deliver their latest leak, “The Festival,” featuring DJ Devastate and the late Sean Price. The ‘Seventy Nine’ slapper bursts out of the gate with a verse from P that’ll remind you just how gifted he was as an emcee. His bravado was weighted by an amazing sense of humor, which he displays with bars like, “Ni**as said they ready to rob but they’re car in park/ Bullsh*ttin’/ Never excellin’, sellin’ wolf tickets.” It’s only right that Planet Asia follows suit, dishing out verbal darts like, “Ni**as mad ‘cause the b*tches on us/ We in and out the Ubers with the pistols on us.” Making the cipher complete is DJ Devastate, who uses his turntables to blend samples of Defari and the Alkaholiks with original lines from Planet Asia. It all makes for a massive track primed for festivals and tour shows alike, as P watches over with his trademark smirk. “The Festival” is now available for download off the iTunes’ album pre-order of ‘Seventy Nine.’ The album drops March 25th and will be available for download through all major digital retailers, and can be purchased on CD as well as limited-edition gold vinyl, via Coalmine Records.
