Locksmith – Horizons [Video]

The second artist to Bless The Booth is Locksmith, a Bay Area veteran who, for those unfamiliar, is currently one of the nicest lyricists in hip-hop. Lock’s most recent album, “Lofty Goals”, was released at the end of June, and is what he calls his “most ambitious project to date.” On “Horizons,” Lock takes on some breezy production from our in-house beatsmith and DJ, T-GUT, not only providing endless bars but a great deal of knowledge as well. We’re just happy he could record sitting down, as he was unfortunately too tall for our Booth. For more Locksmith, make sure you check out Lofty Goals, in particular one of his Booth-acclaimed singles from the project, “For Now.” As for Bless The Booth, check back weekly (and subscribe to our YouTube channel) for more audio dopeness from the likes of Emilio Rojas, Obie Trice, Deniro Ferrar, Chaz French and more.

Kidd Kidd: “I Didn’t Feel Anything When I Was Shot 6 Times” [Video]

Kidd Kidd spoke to DJ Smallz about getting shot six times and thinking that he was going to die, but the New Orleans native revealed that he didn’t feel anything when he was hit. The “I Am” emcee explained, “I guess it’s all about your adrenaline…When I got shot I didn’t feel nothing. Maybe I was just that mad, or maybe it was my adrenaline pumping, but I didn’t feel nothing.” The Louisiana-born rapper also spoke about coming out of the ordeal, but Kidd Kidd admitted that he never went in for his surgery to get the bullets removed. He added that he didn’t want to miss a performance, and the pain subsided, so Kidd Kidd said he wasn’t worried about the bullets still being inside of him. Check out the full interview above
