Boosie Badazz Remembers The Numerous Killings Of Death Row Affiliates [Video]

“I feel like Death Row [Records] has taken and shook up so many lives it’s like, ‘Dang, what did we do this for…like, is this a record label or is it really like a street gang?’” Bad Azz recalls during his disturbing account of his days at the notorious collective. “It was just a negative aura around that place that I just wanted to leave…It just makes you wanna run away and never come back.” According to Bad Azz and several other Suge Knight affiliates, the man behind the infamous record label continues to have bad blood with the majority of the people who have been in his presence. “A lot of people from Death Row are dead – a lot of people got killed,” Bad Azz dreadfully claims. The Cali rapper states that there were too many bad vibes surrounding Suge and his aptly-named business, and finds it mysterious to this day that TLC’s Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes passed away after becoming involved with the man currently on trial for murder. “Left Eye had went to Death Row and during that time while she was hanging around that situation – she might’ve even been signed to Death Row when that happened – but she died,” he remembers. Calling Suge’s current case mildly “disturbing” since he was aware of him and the slain Terry Carter being “cool to a certain extent,” in the end he just wants to put it all behind him and focus on his career. M.O.P. Recall Hype Williams Being Shook While Directing Video [Video]

Mash Out Posse’s Billy Danze and Lil’ Fame sat down with VladTV recently to discuss timeless hip-hop, co-directing videos with Hype Williams, and what they think about Lil Wayne and Baby’s ongoing beef. “I don’t think about it,” Billy admits. “Whatever situation they got hopefully they can reconcile in some kind of way and nobody gets all belligerent or whatever.” During the interview the Brownsville duo also spoke on the time where they made music video director Hype Williams redo the 1994 visual “How About Some Hardcore” in their dangerous Brooklyn neighborhood. “We ran into him on Bleeker St. in New York and kinda put him in the car and told him [to] call his camera crew. ‘This is what we gonna do today,’” Billy remembers telling him. “Hype was shook,” Lil’ Fame adds with a laugh. Watch on to find out how “a lot of liquor” led to their collaboration with former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham and what they’d do with the “lot of unreleased M.O.P. records.” “I mean for the right price we’d turn it all over,” says Billy Danze. “Have all this s***.”

CRWN w/ Meek Mill (Part 4 of 4) [Video]

In the final part of CRWN with Meek Mill and Elliott Wilson, the Philly rapper holds nothing back as he talks about why he doesn’t listen to Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole. “Let me get this clear. J. Cole is dope as shit, he one of the hottest rappers doing it right now. Kendrick Lamar, I think he the best lyricist doing it right now in the rap game, but I don’t listen to that type of music,” said Meek. “I used to listen to Kendrick shit. This time he came with some shit…it just wasn’t in my lane.” “If Nicki do a pop song, nine times out of ten I ain’t never gonna listen to it in my life,” he continued. Meek also talks about playing his new album for Kanye, his strengths and weaknesses, and why he’s all about that bike life. Lil Herb: “I’m Cool With White Crowd Saying The N-Word At My Shows” [Video]

VladTV ran down a host of current events during a recent sit down with Chicago emcee Lil Herb, including Bree Newsome, who personally removed the Confederate flag from South Carolina’s state house flagpole. The “I’m Rollin” rapper said that Newsome’s actions were courageous, but Herb believes there are more serious issues like senseless killings of children and grandmothers in Chicago that aren’t being widely reported. The next topic that was approached was former Spokane NAACP president Rachel Dolezal, whom Herb wasn’t as familiar with. After being told that Dolezal pretended to be Black and spoke about prejudices she received, Lil Herb was blown away by the story. The conversation ended with the Chicago spitter sharing his thoughts on Tom Hanks’ son Chet Haze defending his use of the n-word as a White person. After hearing the actor’s son say, “it’s an unspoken thing between friends who understand each other,” Herb said that he might have a point after recalling his white friend possibly using the word around him. Herb later clarifies that as long as a stranger isn’t using the word with malicious intent, he doesn’t see a huge problem with the usage. When asked about White people singing along to the n-words in his songs at shows, the Chicago spitter said that he doesn’t have a problem with it. He explained, “That’s why I make music, for people to embrace it. I’m not racist, I’m an artist.”
