In an exclusive interview with VladTV, Inspectah Deck speaks on what the logo means to him and why it still continues to live on through the group’s die-hard fans. Deck says the logo was created by DJ Mathematics. He also did the artwork for GZA’s Liquid Swords release and Ghostface Killah’s “Mighty Healthy” artwork. For Deck, the artist believes the logo has inspired many of their fans. From merchandise to tattoos, fans have found creative ways to keep the Wu-Tang name alive just by finding a way to project the logo into the masses. Calling the ongoing movement “beautiful,” Deck cites before their success, the “W” in Hollywood was often attributed with Warner Bros Entertainment. For him, it meant that the dream was far removed from him since it represented the idea of old money. With Wu-Tang’s symbol, the people have found a way to connect to it through their relatable music.
