Slug of Atmosphere sits down with DJ Skee at Soundset 2015. He talks about not setting an end goal when they started Rhymesayers 20 years ago and how they will continue to not limit themselves. He speaks on about the evolution of Soundset over the last couple of years and how it has expanded. Initially the hip hop festival catered to mostly underground hip hop, but as more resources became available they were able to present various styles. Soundset has easily become the biggest hip-hop festival in the US, despite not having a strong marketing push. Slug talks about who he’s excited to see perform and explains how they select which artists they want on the lineup.
