Read moreFrank Ocean’s planning something big for July: a new album and magazine. The R&B crooner’s been largely quiet in the time following the release of his channel ORANGE album in 2012, and anticipation has been building for something new. And on Monday (April 6), Ocean posted something to his Tumblr that got people talking. Along with an image of himself looking down at two stacks of magazines called Boys Don’t Cry, he wrote, “I got two versions. I got twoooo versions.” He also included the hashtags #ISSUE1 #ALBUM3 #JULY2015 #BOYSDONTCRY on the post that showed up on his website‘s front page. This had the Internet quickly asking: What could this mean? A new magazine by Ocean? A new record by Ocean? Both? A rep for Ocean confirmed to Billboard it is indeed both: A new album and his own publication are due in July. So far, there’s no title for either just yet. via Billboard

Read moreEarlier this afternoon Tech N9ne gave us the exclusive reveal of the tracklist for his new album, Special Effects, which is due out on May 5th. The rapper has steadily risen from the underground, while remaining loyal to his fanbase and his native Kansas City. Nonetheless his climb up has allowed him to collaborate with some unlikely names. The interesting (and great) thing about Tech, is that even when he’s collaborating with 2 Chainz and B.o.B, it still sounds like a Tech N9ne song. Over the years we’ve heard Tech connect with other mainstream artists like Lil Wayne and T-Pain, and his new album continues that trend with appearances from Wayne (again), Yo Gotti, Audio Push, Hopsin, T.I., Zuse, and, wait for it, Eminem. Tech took us through his new album tracklist, offering a preview of what to expect from some of the more anticipated records, including that long-awaited Eminem collabo. “I’ve been wanting to work with Eminem for a long time,” Tech said, “and it’s funny saying this on the mic cause I haven’t been able to say this to anybody, [but] Eminem finally came through and blessed me with a 24-bar verse, when I only needed a 16. He felt it that much. It’s a track that’s paying homage to Richie Havens, rest his soul.” He elaborated further, “It’s such a massive and beautiful song, it’s really personal to me because of Richie Havens and that long-awaited Tech N9ne/Eminem collaboration everyone always wanted. And it has my brother
