Read more“The Sun Moon and Stars” EP is the final link in the EP trinity from Zion I, which started with “Masters of Ceremony”, and “Libations”. The project captures the mounting tension of the ongoing clash between the police and the community, with Dreadlock and Unity. On the other side it features savvy storytelling over bass heavy ambience with “Lost in Translation” and “Last Nite”. “Juggernaut” serves as the street anthem, deftly balancing the extremes. Read moreOverdoz have been steady on the climb since dropping their Boom mixtape back in 2013, and for those of you who still think Overdoz is just one person, we’ve got a new interview to get you informed. The West Coast crew consists of four friends (Kent, Cream, P and Joon) who originally linked up through sports, as they explain at the beginning of our sit-down. After all connecting, their friendship soon transitioned from sports to music. Recently the foursome dropped off a new single “Rich White Friends” which boasted production from Hit-Boy, and served as a leak off their upcoming album 2008. The crew says of the LP, “Our album is called 2008, overall it’s done. It’s called 2008 ’cause that was the general time we all decided to be Overdoz. Basically it’s just music to describe that time and describe us. You get to know us.” They also reveal that they linked up with Pharrell, Organized Noize and Terrace Martin, in addition to Hit-Boy, for beats on the LP. They definitely have the right producers on deck, so stay tuned for the full-length album.
