TLC On Using Kickstarter To Raise $150k For New Album [Video]

While chatting with VladTV, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas spoke on using the crowdfunding site Kickstarter to raise funds for the production of a new album. When asked about why they chose to go the crowdfunding route, T-Boz explained that they’ve “always loved to do things that’s out of the box, innovative, and different,” and Kickstarter was a good fit because the site is known for supporting artists. Revealing that they’re aiming to raise $150,000, Chilli says that this should be plenty to make the album, since advances in technology have significantly lowered production costs from what they would have been back in the day. As for any features on the album, the ladies say that none have been locked down so far, but new talent is always arising and they’re open for whatever may come their way.
