Brooklyn rapper-producer duo Starker and Golden Child have spent the last two years in the studio carefully crafting their debut collaboration – The Dutch Masterpiece – which certainly lives up to its name. Part Madvillainy, part Enter The Wu-Tang, The Dutch Masterpiece takes the listener on a sonic journey through the gritty, blunted streets of Brooklyn. Sampling everything from 1940s B-movies to 1970s Thai Funk, The Dutch Masterpiece is anything but predictable and consistently captivating. With no guest verses and all of the production handled by Golden Child, the album plays out like a movie – one cohesive, classical work of art – that can most definitely be considered a hip-hop masterpiece.
