SESSIONS: Big K.R.I.T.’s “Cadillactica” [Video]

Mississippi’s own Big K.R.I.T is ready to release one of the most anticipated rap albums of 2014 in his major label sophomore effort, Cadillactica. The 28-year-old producer and MC is ready to bring people into the world he’s crafted in his music. “It was always about tying all the projects together and explaining where the Cadillac came from the crashed on planet Earth in Live From The Underground,” K.R.I.T. told STASHED in this exclusive. “It gave me the opportunity to take people deeper into my consciousness and my mind frame. So I asked myself ‘what will I call this?’ So I decided that I will create a planet.” K.R.I.T.’s second Def Jam album, which you can stream for free now, has been one of the stronger projects of the year. However, a song that stakes claim at royalty is sure to cause a bit of a stir for the young rapper. “On ‘King of the South,’ know we are on Cadillactica, and I can be whatever I want to be on Cacillactica,” explained K.R.I.T. “On top of that, I feel like what I embody as for of southern music and southern Hip-Hop will never go away. My rap name stands for ‘King Remembered In Time.’ I started to see a lot of people say ‘K.R.I.T., is time now. Musically we know where you are going. You ready, we ready, let’s go. And I think ‘Mt. Olympus’ was the beginning of that.” Check out the latest edition of SESSIONS with Big K.R.I.T. and purchase Cadillactica when it hits stores on November 11th.
