To celebrate the release of his latest offering, ‘You’re Dead’, Los Angeles-based producer Flying Lotus put together an incredible listening session at Mack Sennett Studios; the album showcases FlyLo’s masterful exploration of the intersections of jazz, electronic, rap, and funk. For the great nephew of Alice & John Coltrane, it’s not so abstract an idea to feature Herbie Hancock, Kendrick Lamar, Kamasi Washington, and Snoop Dogg on the same album– in fact, it’s quite natural.
