Action Bronson: “My Mixtape & Album Are Same Quality” [Video]

Action Bronson sat down with Jenny Boom Boom for an exclusive VladTV interview, where he spoke about his official debut album. The Queens native is unsure of the release date on the album, but ensures fans that it will be just as much of a heartfelt project as his mixtapes and EPs. Bronson also talked about his “Easy Rider” video, which was based on the legendary 1969 film starring Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper. He says that while the impressively shot video had a budget, it wasn’t something that was meticulously planned out. Check out more of what Action Bronson had to say above.

JAY Z’s Life+Times and vitaminwater® present the next episode of the new documentary series “Where I’m From.” This episode follows St. Louis born singer and songwriter, SZA, and details her outlook on hustling past life’s unexpected issues, growing up as an awkward kid, quitting her job to be free, and learning the importance of self motivation and self discipline. The episode features footage of her performance at Made In America, as well as wise advice given to her from both her label mates Kendrick Lamar and Isaiah Rashad. SZA describes how her gymnast mother influenced her interest in performing and how her brother showing her a wide variety of music like MF Doom was early inspiration to pursue music.

Dee-1 Talks The 2014 BET Cypher, Ferguson, His EP “Catch Me If I Fall” & More [Video]

Recently, HHS1987 caught up with New Orleans native Dee-1 to discuss his roll in the 2014 BET Cypher, his new deal with RCA and much more. Dee-1 kicked off the interview in great spirits discussing being in the 2014 BET cypher and how he killed it. Dee spoke on feeling blessed to get the opportunity and taking full advantage of it. Dee-1 also opening up about his new deal with RCA and how he is prepared to drop his first single “Against Us” on October 14th. Dee-1 discussed how his partnership with RCA allowed him to make the biggest single of his young career and how he is set to kickoff the year 2015 with a seven track EP entitled “Catch Me If I Fall”. With Dee-1 also eyeing a career on the big screen, Dee-1 discussed being in a upcoming film “Mall Dogs” thats set to drop at the end of the year. Dee-1 assured us that “Mall Dogs” will be a must see once it hits the theater. After letting us know that although he is working on film he is continuously in the studio, Dee-1 took a moment to address the situation in Ferguson. Dee-1 spoke on being proud of the citizens of Ferguson who peacefully protested and shown the youth their is a better way beside violence.
