Joey Bada$$ On Wanting To Move His Mom Out The Hood [Video]

Brooklyn’s Joey Bada$$ sat down with VladTV to talk about getting his mom out of the hood and signing a distribution deal. Bada$$ says while his mom is out of their old hood, she’s still not where he’d like her to be, and says it should be every kids dream to give back to their parents once they have the means to do so. Joey also spoke on his deal with Sony Red, also known as RED Distribution, that he signed to before his first mixtape dropped. He says he wanted to do a distribution deal before a big label deal because he wanted to take his time to learn the business and give being an independent artist a fair shot.
