Still hot after the release of his Billboard charting debut album “Testimony”, Thug&B crooner August Alsina got a chance to sit down with VladTV to talk about the struggles of growing up in New Orleans and how it keeps him humble and hungry today. “I’m taking penitentiary chances just like everyone else.” Alsina says, speaking about conversations with friends back home. “I realized my heart [is] too big to slang dope. I come from that, I come from my family being struck by drug addiction and all that. So me actually watching somebody smoke some crack that I sold them…it’ll f*ck you up.” Like always, August was very candid and honest in the interview, and those that love him are no doubt proud to see he made it out, especially in memory of his late brother.

Young Chop Says “I Don’t Like” Is His All Time Top Beat [Video]

Young Chop names the top three beats he’s ever produced, and says that Chief Keef’s “I Don’t Like” is his favorite. He explained that it means so much to him because it was the first record that got him global attention. Coming in second is “Love Sosa,” followed by Lil Reese’s “Us,” which he said “is never going anywhere.” When asked about working on French Montana’s “Ocho Cinco,” Young Chop said when he got the track back, the line “Told that b*tch give me head. Ocho Cinco,” was the funniest thing he’d ever heard. He said while the song didn’t do anything on the charts, it still goes nuts in the club.
