Twista: “Me & Eminem Could Take Album To New Level” [Video]

Twista opens up about his “Back to the Basics” EP, which precedes his upcoming album, “The Dark Horse,” explaining that he’s just letting everyone know that he’s “still got it” and hasn’t missed a step. The Chicago rapper reveals that he has Legendary Traxster and DJ Tight Mike on the EP, and says that since he’s worked with both before, “it’s going to be an intimate project that people are going to like a lot.” When asked about features on “The Dark Horse,” Twista says that he has a few big names, including Tech N9ne and music from Young Chop. He also opens up about artists that he’d like to work with, and names off Jadakiss, 2 Chainz, Eminem, Joey Bada$$, Childish Gambino, and more. Speaking specifically about Eminem, Twista admits he’s always been curious about getting on a track with the Detroit rapper, because they’re both multi-syllable rappers, and thinks the outcome would be “dope.”

DMC: “Hip-Hop Artistically Expresses Greatness Within” [Video]

DMC, of the legendary hip-hop group Run-D.M.C., spoke with VladTV at a recent red carpet event where he shared his insight into the positive influences that art provides for the youth. He explained how Hip-Hop is a pure art form that expresses “greatness within” the many who practice the craft. DMC also spoke on his own personal artistic influences as a child, and he feels that celebrities today who only give back to their roots on holidays such as Thanksgiving or Christmas aren’t really doing enough to help lead the youth down a positive path in their lives.

Joe Talks About “Love & Sex” Cheating & Commitment And Opens Up About His Relationships [Video]

This R&B singer has been making music for the last decade, and stopped by Sway in the Morning to talk about it. “R&B is a lane that is wide open,” says Joe, on his thoughts of the current state of R&B. He also weighs in on other artists making rhythm & blues like Frank Ocean, Chris Brown and The Weeknd. When The Dream was brought up in conversation, he mentioned that he “gets in his own way, [giving] his best music away.” Joe took questions from Citizens who called in and opened up on his thoughts on cheating and staying committed — admitting that his longest relationship lasted 2 years. Tank Talks “You’re My Star”, “Stronger” Album, Jerry Wonda & More [Video]

Tank is on a mission to make a bold comeback, delivering classic feel-good R&B with a 2014 twist. ThisisRnB TV caught up with the singer/songwriter in NYC for a new interview to discuss his new single “You’re My Star,” his upcoming album ‘Stronger,’ and outlook on life. In this clip, Tank takes us through the creative process of making and recording “You’re My Star,” which started off from a sample of the Jackson 5 classic “This Place Hotel,” and with the help of master producer Harvey Mason Jr. turned into the lively, soulful tribute to woman everywhere that we hear now. We had to know though, will Tank be taking a break from the classic baby-makin’ tunes that we’ve come to expect from him? “There are a few moments where you would want to make a baby,” explains Tank about the new album. “But, I think that it’s not a transition out of that, it’s an album that speaks to a different place that I am in my life and my career.” Part of the inspiration behind the new sound came from a meeting Tank had with Grammy-winning producer Jerry Wonda, who ended up creating at least 4 of the records on the LP, one of which will be the second single, and a sound which not only celebrates women with tempo, but celebrates real music and having fun in life.
