In part one of their long over due conversation the pair discussed Ali’s early beginnings, being one of the first artist to take the independent route and make a living off touring, as well as how the business model they used in the late 90’s has now popularized and become the norm. He also credits Tech N9ne for helping him establish and build relationships that allowed them to operate without the backing of a major label. The most noteworthy piece of information we learn during this interview is that after 8 straight years of touring Ali began to lose his self in the “illusion” of fame and took some time off to re-focus and remind himself what’s most important in life.
