Marsha Ambrosius – Sky [Audio]

I was compelled to write and play this song because I heard it in a dream. I was out in LA doing a couple of writing session a couple of weeks ago and this song happened. Flying back to Philadelphia the other day, I captured footage of the clouds on my iPhone. Felt only right to put the two together as I reflected on the lives lost these past couple of weeks. Jimme Wall Street, Lil Snupe, Aunty. I can listen to this and remember. I can listen to this and want to forget. I can listen to this and mend a broken heart or feel it break. I made this song to FEEL! LOVE. – Marsha Ambrosius

Wale – Clappers (Live @ Best Buy Theatre) [Video]

Page 31 caught Wale’s album release concert for his third album The Gifted at The Best Buy Theatre in NYC. Devine Carama – Dear Beloved (A Letter to Rapsody) [Audio]

I first heard Rap when I moved to NC a couple years ago. She was a breathe of fresh air. Not just lyrically but content wise. I know she doesn’t like to be looked at as a “female” MC but rather a rapper period, but you can’t deny the alternative her style brings verses the “sex symbol” image that dominates most of the female MCs today. My daughters love her. I felt it was only right to show respect and love and hopefully turn some more people onto her.
