Talib Kweli chopped it up with VladTV recent about the indie music scene compared to main stream success. He spoke specifically about the indie paths taken by Macklemore and Mac Miller, and how they’ve managed to gain wide-spread success without turning to a label to make them famous. Talib feels as though Macklemore’s talents have been noticed and accepted by everyone and every music genre except hip-hop, oddly enough. How do you feel about Macklemore and Mac Miller’s indie success?
