A Tribe Called Quest Interview w/ Billboard [Video]
Last week at the SXSW’s “The Next Big Thing Show,” Billboard caught up with A Tribe Called Quest as the entire group on hand, Q-Tip, Phife, Ali and even Jarobi were all present for a brief RARE interview all together. The four discussed the time they enjoyed with performing for the first time in good spirits in years including the newer artist like Mac Miller, Joey Bada$$, Kanye West and Drake all making them feel honored to have support from the current generation.
Tip briefly discusses his upcoming album “The Last Zulu” which we can expect to see in 2014. The group plans to have a reunion on the project bringing back Zulu Beats from the original Tribe days including working with Mariah Carey, John Legend and D’Angelo.
It’s been over 15 years since their last album as we’re hoping after their reunion the Q-Tip’s fourth studio album “The Last Zulu,” the group will get back in the studio for one last possible album to leave closure to their fans.
