Stik Figa – Flaudgin [Video + MP3]

Produced by Michael “Seven” Summers. Directed by Dom Visions. Download the MP3 here.

Take a spin through Topeka, Kansas with Stik Figa in his video for “Flaudgin,” a carefree joyride through the blue-collar Midwest. Sure, Stik can get on his MC ish when need be, he can kick a thought-provoking verse when the occasion calls for it, but the Midwest rhymer is just as comfortable crafting something smooth for you to ride to. “Flaudgin,” a standout cut from his Mello Music debut As Himself, is just that, music for the Cuttys, Regals, Chevys and ‘Prices that represent Stik’s native city. The title term is local slang for frontin’ or otherwise posturing, just like the weave-equipped woman who’s hair Stik calls out in the track, right after the former calls him out on his rented ride. The straightforward and subdued video plays out like a mellow cruise through Stik’s hometown. There’s no million-dollar budgets here, no pyrotechnics or CGI, but Stik injects every shot with down to earth personality, making even the simplest of sceneries exude charm.
