[All of the sudden] it kinda hit me that I left my parents house and came to live up here (Chapel Hill, NC) to do this rap shit. I had no money, no job, no nothing—just some raps and a busted iPhone 4S just to access wifi. I wasn’t feeling myself too much at the time. Along with losing my older Cousin B a couple months earlier, it was just a bad time for me. Although people would come to me and say you will make it you next, I felt like giving up. But thanks to my Immaculate Taste set, I pushed through. I’m glad I did. I named the songs ‘Dreams Of An Insomniac’ just cause it’s hella nights that I couldn’t sleep thinking of how to get on. And there are all these things that come to your mind when you’re alone with your thoughts, and that’s the only way a insomniac ‘dreams’… through his thoughts.”
