He says he called this one Afeni to pay respects to the late Great Black Panther and Mother of Tupac Shakur, because the song speaks about the elevation of others, as well as tells the listeners that even though the sky’s are grey, keep a positive outlook for what’s to come “Under The Sun.” Because Afeni stood for the progression of our culture and always told those she came in contact to be better than what you are expected to be and that resonates in this song 100%.
