A-Trak feat. Quavo & Lil Yachty – Believe [Audio]

A-Trak is no stranger to Migos and Lil Yachty: they’ve been mainstays at multiple Fool’s Gold Day Off events for years. On their new collaborative cut “Believe,” the chemistry is palpable. Recorded during hangout sessions at Atlanta’s Quality Control studios, the song finds two of the hugest names in rap playfully trading lines like Jadakiss and Styles P in their prime. The result is both intimate and anthemic. From the opening bars, it’s obvious you’ll be hearing this song everywhere. Who ever thought a song about a vacuum could be this catchy?

A-Trak feat. Phantogram – Parallel Lines [Lyric Video]

A-Trak always puts a unique, er, spin on things. The electronic music tastemaker, DJ hero and all-around cultural force kicks the summer off with the new single “Parallel Lines,” taking the feel-good vibes of last year’s “We All Fall Down” (over 10M streams) to even catchier new heights. With festival favorites Phantogram providing soaring vocals, A-Trak mixes guitar riffs with his signature, turntable-inspired production and peerless ear for beats. The end result is a lush, genre-defying jam ready to burrow into your brain for the next several months. Throw an umbrella in your drink and vibe on out…

A-Trak – We All Fall Down [EP]

A-Trak’s latest hit “We All Fall Down” feat. Jamie Lidell has become one of the fastest-growing songs of his career. The buzzing collaboration has soared to over 4 million plays on Spotify in a little over a month. The “We All Fall Down” EP leads off with a special re-touch by Jamie Lidell himself. In A-Trak’s words, “I felt like this song could exist outside the format of house music. So I asked Jamie if he’d be down to make something in the vein of his classics like “Multiply” or “Another Day”. We went to this amazing studio in LA called Vox Recordings and he worked his magic on the marimbas.” A-Trak personally reached out to other producers who he regularly plays in his sets, including rising vocal house star CID, Hardwell-backed duo Volt & State, and Soulection regular Jarreau Vandal.

A-Trak Talks Getting Young Thug, PeeWee Longway, Childish Major & More In The Same Room For Low Pros [Video]

A-Trak is a busy man. He’s gone from winning DJ championships across the world, to serving as Kanye West’s touring DJ, founding his own label, Fool’s Gold, and constantly working with artists of all different genres. We caught up with the Montreal producer at SXSW, and he gave us an update on some of the new music we’ll be hearing from him in the near future. Detailing the collaborative process that went into Low Pros (which involved working with many of Atlanta’s biggest stars in their local studio), A-Trak revealed that he’s still fine-tuning the material to put out a proper follow-up to the 2014 EP. He then went on to talk about the elusive (but incredibly productive) recording habits of Cam’ron, as well as how Rome Fortune became a part of the Fool’s Gold Family. Despite his many ongoing collaborations, A-Trak stressed that this year, he’ll be focusing more on solo work than in year’s passed. Look out for big things in 2015.

A-Trak, Migos, OG Maco, Tory Lanez & More Share SXSW Essentials [Video]

As you probably noticed last week, much of the music industry made their way to Austin, Texas for the annual SXSW music conference. Rap showcases have become prevalent at SXSW in recent years, and this year was no different, with rappers roaming the streets and doing as many shows as they can fit into their hectic schedules. We had a few chance encounters with rappers (such as Michael Christmas and Manolo Rose, both of whom we literally ran into on the infamous 6th Street), and some were pre-planned encounters as part of press runs– whatever the case was, we asked each artist what their essentials are for a great South By experience. The general consensus seems to be: condoms, and leave your bitches at home. Watch the video above to hear from Tory Lanez, A$AP Twelvvy and Ant, OG Maco, A-Trak and more.

Low Pros feat. Que – Who Wanna Play [Video]

After making waves with their debut Fool’s Gold EP last spring, Low Pros, the production supergroup led by DJ hero A-Trak (currently riding high with Billboard Top 10 Dance/Electronic smash “Out The Speakers,” featured in Mountain Dew’s Superbowl commercial) and trap architect Lex Luger returns with the new single “Who Wanna Play.” ATL upstart Que (“OG Bobby Johnson”) barks anthemic bars over a thumping, BPM flipping beat that A-Trak and Lex cooked up with Atlanta’s reigning beatsmiths Metro Boomin and Sonny Digital (Young Thug, Makonnen, Travi$ Scott) and bass maven Brillz, setting the tempo for 2015 and beyond. The accompanying music video from Kanye West collaborator Nate Brown and Gustavo “Kidmograph” Torres is just as next level, re-imagining sci-fi classics like Blade Runner, Akira, and Mad Max for the WorldStar generation. Play it loud, and stay tuned for more Low Pros collaborations dropping this year on Fool’s Gold.
